Therapies › ThyroidThere
are many
patients that come into the office with an undiagnosed thyroid problem.
These patients exhibit signs of an underactive thyroid such as weight
gain, inability to lose weight, constipation, dry hair, thinning hair,
fatigue, and prone to infections to name a few. Many of these patient
have gone to their doctors to have their thyroid tested with a TSH
tested and were told it was normal. The TSH is an insensitive test and
will not accurately tell you if you are getting adequate amounts of
thyroid hormone. At our office, we test for free T4 and free T3 levels
along with TSH to get an accurate picture of what's really going on. We
have diagnosed hundreds of patients with an underactive thyroid who had
"normal" TSH levels. By normalizing their T4 and T3 levels, we find
patients starting to feel normal again.

During times of stress, our adrenals will impact the function of our thyroid hormones. In this case, patients also need to be on a restorative adrenal program in addition to thyroid hormones. Typically, after 4 weeks the patient will start to feel better. If you would like to have your thyroid evaluated call to book an appointment. |
